Microsoft released the required PC specifications for the upcoming Action/RPG third person title Mass Effect. And for once they are surprisingly reasonable (compared to the like of Crysis or Assassin's Creed and if we put aside the HD space needed).

Minimum Requirements
  • Windows XP / Windows Vista
  • CPU Intel 2.4 GHz or AMD 2 GHz
  • 1 / 2 Gb RAM (XP / Vista)
  • Video card ATI 1300XT / GeForce 6800GT or better
  • 12 Gb free HD space
  • Sound Card DirectX 9.0c compatible

Recommended requirements
  • Windows XP / Windows Vista
  • CPU Intel 2.6 GHz ou AMD 2.4 GHz
  • 2 Gb RAM
  • Video card ATI X1800 XL / GeForce 7900GTX or better
  • 12 Gb free HD space
  • Sound Card DirectX 9.0c compatible

Mass effect will be available on May 28th in North America and June 6th in Europe.
