Remember these times where all you had to do was to eat and not be eaten? Probably not although nothing has changed since the very beginning of the big life game, social concerns just made things more complicated. In anticipation of the release in early June of their "creatures editor", the folks from Maxis released a new video and some screens showing the first gameplay phase of their upcoming life simulation title Spore, the "cell phase".

A curious marketing strategy too. Following a press release issued last Friday by Electronic Arts, it appears that Spore, the life simulation from Maxis will be probably the first game to have not only a demo but a creation kit released far before the launching date for the full game.

Now that they are the exclusive owners of the international rights to use Tom Clancy's name on whatever product they see fit, Ubisoft is willing to give some more details about one of their upcoming projects Tom Clancy's HAWX (previously known as Tom Clancy's Air Combat). Unlike other Clancy branded games, this one won't feature playable ground forces since it will focus on aircrafts and... well, air combat.

Spore Got Itself A Launch Date |

The intriguing life simulation title from Will Wright's team Spore finally got itself a launch date in a touted press release today. The title is set to be released on September 7 worldwide by the publisher Electronic Arts on PC and consoles. It was a long awaited date announcement since the title concept was first presented to the world back in 2005.
