Bethesda just confirmed that Fallout 3 will have a Collector's Edition available on its release. And since this confirmation wasn't really visual, they added shortly after 3 new screens to give it a bit more juice.

Or how to set fire to various things and watch them burn. Well, actually Eden released a Tech Demo about what you will be able to do with fire inside the Alone in The Dark Universe. They put quite a great deal of thinking into this so I guess there will be quite a number of situations in which you'll have to use fire one way or other.

Microsoft released the required PC specifications for the upcoming Action/RPG third person title Mass Effect. And for once they are surprisingly reasonable (compared to the like of Crysis or Assassin's Creed and if we put aside the HD space needed).

Paradox interactive just issued a press release stating that an expansion to the Penumbra series [bobdog's review] of adventure games is coming under the title of Penumbra: Requiem. Details about the new game are not provided but according to the press release it is aimed at "tying up loose ends from previous installments". Frictional games is of course working on this expansion since they are the ones who started the Penumbra phenomenon.

And when I say sneaking, I'm not joking. I don't know if a lot of you had the occasion to play a game that went by the title of ÜberSoldier. I did. Not the most memorable game I ever played but good enough for a few hours of fun. Now a game is scheduled to hit British retailers shelves in the near future: Crimes Of War. It appears that this game is already available in Russia (the homeland of its developers) and Germany under the title of... tada... ÜberSoldier 2. Not confused yet? Too bad.

Bethesda never had the habit to be very generous on the number of screenshots released and they intend to continue this way with Fallout 3. Here's the 3 screens that has been released lately with no info to go with other than the fact that a collector's edition is already planned -- according to GameStop (but that is not very surprising).

Just when one thinks that a game is relatively dead, one can be surprised by some official announcement out of the blue. It's the case with the press release issued today by Jowood (Gothic 3 publisher) stating that the first official expansion for the game -- titled Forsaken Gods --will be available sometimes during the fourth quarter of 2008.
