Hi folks! As you can see looking at the date, it has been an awful lot of time since I posted my last article on the main site (the main site being the one you're currently browsing). The Foxhole during all that time continued its activities however, but mainly on the forum.

Today, I"m writing to inform you that the Foxhole games reviewing activities have all been transferred on a newly opened board on the forum that you can find right there. These Foxhole Quickviews as they've been named come as a supplement to bobdog's always up to date mini-reviews that you can find right here.

It's time for the fourth edition of the Extra Life gaming event that happens each year on October 15 since its inception in 2008. As every year one of our members, Marshall Lemon AKA "FangHawk", will be participating in order to raise funds for helping children in medical care. This year, Marshall set a reasonable goal of $250 which is already well on its way (and if it goes well beyond that it will be perfectly fine too; the more the better). If you'd want to help reach and hopefully break the goal, we conveniently placed a banner for the event on the left of this page that will take you to Marshall's profile.

The funds raised this year will go to the organization chosen by each participant and Marshall's choice organization this year is the SickKids Foundation.

As a gamer you can also participate in the event by signing-up with Extra Life. The only thing you need is the will to play games for 24 hours straight...

Let's make it happen!

Third Person Perspective

Well, there it is, the official Foxhole review for Dragon Age 2. What else to say... It may be the first time I was that much depressed writing a review. But you will be able to find why I was depressed and why the latest tilte from BIoware was granted an astounding (for Bioware that is) 5.0/10 reading it all right there.

Have fun... or maybe not. It all depends if you like Bioware or not. I like Bioware (really do) so I didn't have any fun reading my own review (or even writing it for that matter)...

You wanted it, you got it. For his big comeback to reviewing stuff in his own special way, Silver Sorrow takes a shot (more than one in fact... a lot... and then some more) at Mirror's Edge, the frantic game from DICE and Electronic Arts that has your character jumping around on buildings in a monkey-like fashion that... Well, I'll let you read the review itself as there's no way I could sum up that in one sentence. I gathered that it was an painful enough experience though. Usually Silver hate monkeys (some traumatic experience he had with some monkeys in a nearly abandoned ship governed by a lady named Shodan...) but I guess he doesn't like behaving like one either. Well, that's a thing I can understand, I would hate that too... but I love monkeys... hell, I'm one of them after all.

Er... Yeah so back to the topic. Go read the Mirror's Edge review and let me alone with my monkey fetish.

Weird And Fun

With all the "dating in circle" fun happening in Hollywood -- you know, stars exchanging their lovers, boyfriends/girlfriends, ex-husband/wife... -- you might think that viruses have a good chance of being involved at some point, especially without condoms.

The guys at McAffee (the anti-virus developer) think it too, but not for the same reasons. During the past three years, they have built an annual list of the most dangerous celebrities on the web. "Most dangerous"... why? Because a search involving their name in your favorite search engine has a fairly good chance of leading you to a virus spawner (a site delivering computer viruses, worm, spyware, adware...etc.)
