Almost going unnoticed, the Polish developer Techland was nevertheless there at the Leipzig Game Convention to introduce not one but two new FPS in development. The first product announced is not really new since it's the following of Chrome and Chrome: Specforce and it bears the logical name of Chrome 2. I must say that even if they couldn't compete for a GOTY award, Chrome and Chrome: Specforce were not a bad experience for me. I've played much much worse, believe me...

For Now there is not much announced in term of gameplay and features and Techland prefered to stress the beauty of the landscape and the presence of some huge and monstruous machinery (than believably enough you will have to fight or maybe to drive... It would be cool, huh?). Anyway Chrome 2 doesn't seem to have any release date set and it probably won't be this year.

The second title introduced by Techland is called Warhound and has nothing to do with the former (the landscape maybe?). In this game you will wear the boots of some soldier of fortune paid to accomplish a series of missions with no links between them. You'll have to choose the mission difficulty which will give you a certain amount of money as a reward. The more money you get at the end of a mission, the more funny toys you will be able to buy for the next one. Warhound is being developed on the same engine than Call Of Juarez and is planned for a release on early 2007. For now we just look at the screens:

That's all for Techland... For now... icon_biggrin
