Bodog just gave me the heads-up and it's amusing enough to talk about it. The new branch of Eidos, Eidos Montreal, which is currently working on Deus Ex 3 development just announced a few days back that they are hiring to begin the work on their second AAA title. What is this title? They don't say. However they give a hint. It begins with the letter "T". And there was no need for more to see the gossip craziness starting (which I think was exactly what Eidos was looking for after all so they're happy and I'm making them even more happy relaying the thing... A little thank you would be welcomed guys...).

Then here's your chance to be one, kind of. I assume that anyone here knows what a "machinima" is but I will run through the refresher bit for those who wouldn't: a machinima (a contraction of machine cinema) is a movie created using a 3D game engine (any game supporting modding can do). These creations allow their authors to tell stories with computer generated actors instead of real actors (believe me it is much cheaper that way -- as a matter of fact we host one of our member's site dedicated to that: Marshall's Machinima; he's currently looking for voice actors for his new production so if you're interested go to the forum and say so or go to his site and write to him).

Today it appears that the whole machinima concept is on the way to be pushed one step further with the guys behind Moviestorm. So what is Moviestorm? Well read the news and I'll tell you.

MMO this MMO that... We keep hearing this acronym (Massively Multiplayer Online game) everywhere today. And it seems that any franchise is worth of going MMO at one point, whatever the content and/or gameplay are. There are so many MMOs around that I wonder if the people involved have any time left to meet real people in real life. Anyway, Take-Two just hold a conference to explain to the public (especially their shareholders) why they rejected the aggressive acquisition proposal issued by Electronic Arts earlier (if you want to know more go read our previous news the links are at the end of this page).

On a topic somewhat related to our review of Rainbow Six: Vegas, Ubisoft just announced yesterday that they signed an agreement with Mr Tom Clancy to acquire all the intellectual property rights on the Tom Clancy name for an unlimited time and free of all future royalty payments. This agreement includes use of the name in video games, related books, movies and marketing products.
