Foxhole review -- Dragon Age 2 PDF Print E-mail

Well, there it is, the official Foxhole review for Dragon Age 2. What else to say... It may be the first time I was that much depressed writing a review. But you will be able to find why I was depressed and why the latest tilte from BIoware was granted an astounding (for Bioware that is) 5.0/10 reading it all right there.

Have fun... or maybe not. It all depends if you like Bioware or not. I like Bioware (really do) so I didn't have any fun reading my own review (or even writing it for that matter)...

Foxhole Review: The Witcher Director's Cut Edition PDF Print E-mail

Yeah, we are a few weeks away from the release of the second opus The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and still we review the first game. Why now? Well because it's as good a time as any, The Director's Cut edition (basically the uncensored version of the game) was made available in North America only a few months ago and... why not? To put it quite frankly, this game is a little gem of RPG gaming that aged rather well. I had as much blast replaying it to finish the review during the past month as I had when I first played it a long time ago. Furthermore, if you intend to play The Witcher 2 and still have to play the first The Witcher, it would be a shame to not go for it waiting for the upcoming sequel.

So go read our review of The Witcher and see what you can expect.

If you've been following the Mass Effect 2 DLC (and who hasn't?) then you'll know that, apart from new armors that you just can't seem to pry the friggin' helmets off of, they have much, MUCH more in store for you. It's almost obscene how much new content is coming your way, much like a tsunami of awesome that...

...dial it back a bit. Members of the Cerberus Network just got the Arc Projector weapon for free a few days ago -- I made a krogan do the chain-lightning cha-cha and it was sweet -- but one of the two upcoming DLCs will not be gratis this time.

Mass Effect 2: DLC Almost Before The Game PDF Print E-mail

As we are a few days away from the launch date for Mass Effect 2, Bioware unveils the Cerberus Network (no link since the thing is for customers only), a site that will be reserved to original purchasers of the game, features being unlocked by a "one use" activation code that will be included with all the game copies whether they are standard or collector. The Cerberus Network will allow legit customers to have access to additional content at "no extra charge" said Bioware officials and that apparently right from day one (those who will buy a used copy will be able to access Cerberus too but only after having bought a new activation code; take the money where it is is always a philosophy, maybe not the brightest but still...).

Mass Effect 1 New Patch And DLC PDF Print E-mail

More than a year after the initial release, a patch 1.02 is available for Mass Effect. It is no surprise considering that a new DLC titled Pinnacle Station has also been released.

The list of the bugs fixed in the new patch is interesting because these are mainly bugs that should have been fixed sometime during the preceding 12 months (or even better: with the first patch). Please note that the comments made below relate to the delay between the first and the second patch:
